The current article explains the relevance and the importance of theoretical and empirical study of the development of conscious self-regulation (SR) of educational activity in the conditions of school education. The analysis of cross-sectional empirical data of pupils from 6th to 11th grades (N=1178) demonstrates the nonlinearity of changes in the level of development of conscious SR and its style peculiarities: high average level of development of SR in younger adolescents declines in the middle school and tends to increase in the high school. The age specificity of the relationship between self-regulation, academic motivation and personality traits of schoolchildren is revealed and analyzed (N=606).
