INDIVIDUAL, IRREGULAR PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

In the article the problem of individual, irregular, that is, not caused by age-related mechanisms, development of personality is discussed. Concepts such as «deviant development», «personal growth», «personal development», «pathological personality development», «progressive and regressive personality development», «spiritual development» are defined. Authors differentiate types, scope of individual development, and factors determining this process. A brief review of studies of this problem is presented, considering various aspects of the study. Different types of crisis, individual personal development are defined. It is proposed to divide developmental psychology into two main sections - the psychology of normal ontogenetic development and non-normative individual personal development.
