PARENTAL PERFECTIONISM AS A MOTIVATIONAL BASIS FOR CHILDREN’S UPBRINGING AND EDUCATION

In the current article the phenomenon of parental perfectionism is considered in the context of the functional state of a sense of responsibility for children’s upbringing and education. Author’s technique, which allows to determine the overall level of parental perfectionism from a position of constructiveness/ destructiveness, is presented. The technique makes it possible to also assess the profile of parental perfectionism, that is, its predominant focus on the child, others or themselves, which is essential for psychological work with children and their families.
