CONCEPT OF PROACTIVITY IN MODERN PSYCHOLOGY

Current review is devoted to the problem of investigating the phenomenon of proactivity. The main criterial features of this phenomenon are presented. The key characteristics of proactivity include personal awareness of the actions and their consequences, volitional component, spontaneity, responsibility, dominance of higher human needs, and orientation primarily on beliefs in the selection of the behavior model, ideals and values of the individual, not on external factors. According to the authors, the absence of formed, holistic concept of proactivity and typology of proactive behavior provokes research in this area in the near future.
