Self-evaluations of intelligence and their influence on the socio-psychological adaptation of students

The paper presents the results of a study of different types of self-intelligence (on the theory of G. Gardner) and their impact on the socio-psychological adaptation of students in classes VIII–IX gymnasium. For the self-diagnostic questionnaire used by the Russian-language version of the D. Chan. Selection of the study was 135 students. Results of the study demonstrated the relative independence of different kinds of intelligence to self-assessments of students, gender differences in the profile of self-intelligence, self-assessments of the adequacy of certain types of intelligence objective measures of intellectual abilities (on the Amthauer's test structure of intelligence and achievement). Demonstrated a significant positive impact on the results of social-psychological adaptation of students to self-linguistic, mathematical, and especially the «bodily-kinesthetic» (by Gardner) and intrapersonal intelligences, as well as the average intelligence of all kinds.
