Subject and personal prerequisites for a decision on choosing a career high school students

The paper presents the results of a study of individual characteristics of temporal perspective and conscious self-regulation of students that are in a situation of primary career choice. The results obtained on a sample of students (249), suggests that the prerequisites deciding on a profession can be a focus for future students and their conscious self-regulation, which allows to overcome the fixity of the past and present and future time perspective to fill a real and achievable content.
