Far Eastern Federal University, Vladivostok
The purpose of present research is the psychometric adaptation of the questionnaire «Death Attitude Profile – revised (DAP-R)», developed by Wong PTP, Reker GT, Gesser G. (1994). Using a sample of students and their relatives (N=294, middle age of 36.9 years, 223 female and 71 male) the results about an internal consistency of scales of a questionnaire (-Cronbach’s= 0.58–0.87), a convergent validity of the Death Fear Scale with the D. Templer Death Anxiety Scale – DAS (r=0.32*, p<0.05) and a factorial validity are received. Using a sample of students of a teacher’s college of 22–24 years (N=50, 31 female and 19 male) the test-retest reliability has been confirmed (r=0.98**–0.99*, p<0,01). Data missing informed developers about the intercorrelations between scales of a questionnaire are obtained. In particular, it was found that the Death Fear Scale positive assisted with Death Avoidance Scale (r=0.30 **, p<0.01), with Approach Acceptance Scale (r=0.35**, p<0.01) and with Escape Acceptance Scale (r=0.26**, p<0.01). The positive association Neutral Acceptance Scale with Death Avoidance Scale (r=0.24**, p<0.01), and also association Approach Acceptance Scale with Escape Acceptance Scale (r=0.50**, p<0.01) is revealed. In general, confirmed the basic psychometric characteristics of the claimed developers of the questionnaire.
