THE INTERNAL CONFLICT OF VALUES AS A FACTOR OF AGGRESSIVENESS IN ADOLESCENCE

A sample of 185 university students aged 17–20 years (95 youthes and 90 girls) studied the infl uence of the internal confl ict of values on the aggressive manifestations of personality. To diagnose the aggressiveness used projective techniques «Pictorial frustration» S. Rosenzweig and «Picture of a nonexistent animal» M.Z. Dukarevich, as well as the method of interview. Features of the value spheres were studied using the modifi ed technique «Values» M. Rokich and copyright variant technique «Incomplete proposals». To diagnose the level of intellectual development have used test of mental development entrants and high school students, developed by K.M. Gurevich, M.K. Akimova et al. Authors revealed that a high level of cognitive development contributes to a more adequate and optimistic view of themselves; their capabilities, their own implementation and thus prevents the formation of negative attitudes towards the world, hostile to him. Th e low level of intellectual development leads to pessimistic expectations about the relationship of values behind them the needs and possibilities to satisfy them, that stimulates the aggressive manifestations of young people.
