FEATURES OF GENDER IDENTITY IN WOMEN-TEACHERS

Th e aim of the study was to study the features of gender identity in women-teachers. Th e features of gender identity were studied in the process of analysis of gender concepts and self-concepts in womenteachers. We have obtained the data on character and content of feminine and masculine concepts in teachers, on the developmental dynamics of these concepts in general and their dynamics dependant of length of service, on the levels of femininity / masculinity and on the types of gender identity of womenteachers. We have found that changes in display of femininity /masculinity and in women’s concepts of these changes cause changes in self-concepts, in emotional attitudes towards self, in self-reliance, and in expectations of attitudes from others.
